We are aware of an issue in the latest version for Mecho Wars (Version 1.5) which doesn’t send push notifications correctly. The issue is currently being addressed and will be available in a new update very soon.
A quick definition about Push Notifications: they are a system of sending messages to iPhone and iPod Touch devices that let players know that data is waiting for them. In Mecho Wars, a Push Notification is sent to a player when a game requires attention. For example, if you are engaged with another person in an online game, a message will be sent to your device when you are no longer running the game. This means you are free to do other things while waiting for your opponent to make a move.
You are also free to put the device into “sleep mode” and wait for a message. By doing this, you won’t have to restart the application. Instead you can jump right back into the game and make your move. A sound alert lets you know when it’s your turn, someone has joined your game, or someone has accepted your challenge!
